Matías Irreal

Santiago, Chile

Multidisciplinary Artist

Through his constant research and experimentation, he has developed a unique and diverse style focused on depicting fictional scenarios and emotions that arise directly from the mind. Matías's imaginary landscapes, which represent his subconscious, are meticulously detailed, allowing the underlying messages to manifest in the conscious space for the public to appreciate and reflect upon. His leitmotif, turning the real into the unreal, invites viewers to question the line between reality and fantasy.
Throughout his career, Matías has collaborated with an impressive range of galleries, artists, and brands at both national and international levels. His ability to adapt and transform visual spaces has been displayed in large-scale exhibitions, such as the screens of the Santiago metro, and in exclusive venues like the prestigious Art Angels gallery on Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, USA, where he presented a work in collaboration with the renowned Chilean sculptor Ignacio Gana.
His work has also been exhibited at the Patricia Ready gallery in Santiago and aT the GAM Cultural Center (Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral), a landmark cultural center in Chile. Matías has made his mark in a wide variety of events, particularly standing out at music festivals in Chile. His art encompasses not only individual exhibitions but also prominent collaborative projects, such as the presentations in the Bombay (gin brand) lounge area of Lollapalooza, where his creativity and unique style captured the public's attention. He was also part of a special project in the Swiss Alps, where he was invited to design and paint murals on an old building, revitalizing these spaces with his art and thus demonstrating his ability to transform environments through his versatile creative vision. Additionally, Matías had the honor of presenting his work in collaboration with Ignacio Gana in Miami's Art Basel, one of the most recognized international contemporary art fairs.
